Paradise Valley Police Department launches Community Armor Program

If there was a program that could reduce your susceptibility to criminal activity, would you use it? The Paradise Valley Police Department has implemented a program called, Community Armor. The program’s tenets include crime deterrence, crime education, crime awareness and crime recovery. Each of the services the Paradise Valley Police Department offers falls into one of these categories. If a community member would like to join the Community Armor Program, and decrease their overall susceptibility to falling victim to a criminal occurrence, the citizen can partner with the Paradise Valley Police Department in the Community Armor program. Chief Wingert: We need you to target harden your property

Good morning, Paradise Valley! My name is Peter Wingert. I am the new Chief of the Paradise Valley Police Department. I am excited to have this opportunity to lead this department into the future using the new technology that the Paradise Valley Town Council has authorized over the past two years. One of the goals of that technology is to allow us to become more efficient in our duties. As the technology comes online, it will allow us to remain in your neighborhoods in order to write our reports; being more visible to you in our black and white squad cars. If we are more visible to you, we should be more visible to the criminal element, and, therefore provide a deterrent.
