Building a dynasty: Paradise Valley wins NJCAA National Championship

A National Championship is returning to Paradise Valley Community College as the women’s soccer team built its dynasty further with its third National Junior College Athletic Association championship in seven years. The top-seeded Pumas capped off their undefeated season (25–0–1) with a 3–1 win over Tyler Junior College to win the NJCAA title Saturday, Nov. 19 in Melbourne, Fla.

Learning-disabled students receive support to succeed at PVCC

Twenty-four Maricopa Community College students now will receive personalized mentoring and academic support from NorthBridge College Success Program. This unique opportunity is part of a pilot program funded by the Ellis Center for Educational Excellence, a support organization of the Arizona Community Foundation. The NorthBridge Maricopa Pilot will support these students, who have learning disabilities (Dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, and processing disorders), at Glendale and Paradise Valley Community Colleges, according to a press release.
