Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation has announced, with the help of the local community, it raised $950,000 during the month of September for its first Go Gold campaign. Philanthropic couples all over the valley will converge at downtown Phoenix’s The Duce on Feb. 27, for the Second Chance Prom event, benefiting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. “The event promises to be a memorable night for all,” stated Kelly D’Elena, the co-host and creator of the event, stated in a press release. “Children that are being treated at PCH deserve a second chance, so this prom night is a perfect tie-in for members of the Valley to give back and support the doctors, staff, and facilities as they treat and support these children and their families.” “What’s so unique about this charity event is that it replicates all the activities that take place at a high school prom: dinner, dancing, pictures, and even dressing up, except this time it’s for adults.”

Wildfire Golf Club hosts annual charity golf tournament Aug. 24

Wildfire Golf Club at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is holding its 14th annual Children’s Miracle Network Golf Tournament on Monday, Aug. 24, with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. Benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the charity golf tournament will take place on both upscale Palmer Signature and Faldo Championship golf courses. Cost is $150 per player and includes 18 holes of golf, continental breakfast, and lunch with a silent auction, raffle and awards ceremony immediately following the tournament. Marriott is a long-time supporter of Phoenix Children’s Hospital and partner of CMN, which raises funds for children’s hospitals throughout the country, according to a press release.
