Oktoberfest for Parkinson’s fundraiser to be Oct. 17

The Baehr Challenge for Parkinson’s Research will host the 11th Annual Oktoberfest for Parkinson’s celebration on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on High Street. After nine years in Carefree, last year’s event was relocated to a more central and easily accessible location on High Street, located in the community of Desert Ridge, just east of Desert Ridge Marketplace in north Phoenix. The 11th annual event will be located on High Street again this year. The Oktoberfest block party includes great food, craft ales, fine wines, live music, games, spectacular raffle prizes and free parking. Since 2005, The Baehr Challenge has raised over $140,000 to help people living with Parkinson’s disease, according to a press release.
