Educate & Empower: Phoenix Heart Ball event battles heart disease

More than 100 Phoenix Heart Ball members, community leaders and special guests gathered April 28 for the organization’s mid-year event at the Halle Heart Children’s Museum in Tempe to continue raising awareness and funds to battle heart disease and stroke, which claim the lives of one in three women. A luncheon featuring Dr. Martha Gulati, chief of cardiology at the University of Arizona, educated guests on the reality of heart disease and importance of keeping heart healthy initiatives at the forefront of the public’s mind.

57th Phoenix Heart Ball hosts addressing luncheon

The 57th annual Heart Ball addressing luncheon was held recently at the Paradise Valley home of Chair elect, Char Hubble. The event included committee photographs, invitation stuffing and a delicious lunch and champagne catered by Fabulous Food, according to a press release. The highlight of the luncheon was a fashion show generously presented by Neiman Marcus. The crowd was wowed by the gorgeous fashions of acclaimed designer Rubin Singer.

2016 Heart Ball kicks off with breakfast event

The 2016 Heart Ball committee kicked off the year at Saks Fifth Avenue Feb. 16 for a meeting over breakfast and a fashion show to prepare for the upcoming Nov. 19 ball that donates proceeds to the American Heart Association.
