School supplies sought for Valley children in need

The Salvation Army is partnering with many local businesses, including Fry’s Food Stores, for the Backpack Support Our Students drive to prepare children for the upcoming school year. The drive kicked off on Monday, July 10, at Fry’s on 20th Street and Highland Avenue in Phoenix, with a dozen children from a Salvation Army Family Services Shelter each receiving backpacks filled with school supplies, according to a press release.

Fry’s Food Stores announces renovations to popular Phoenix location

Fry’s Food Stores announced updates to its existing store at RED Development’s Camelback Colonnade property, which is located at 20th Street and Highland in Phoenix. The updates are scheduled to begin in January and be completed later this fall, according to a press release. The remodeled store will feature a 20,000 square foot expansion and several enhancements. “The 20th St. and Highland store is one of Fry’s most popular stores,” stated Fry’s President Steve McKinney, in the release. “This remodel is an investment for Fry’s future in the Colonnade area. At Fry’s, we strive to innovate and provide our customers with the greatest shopping experience possible.”

Fry’s Food Stores raises over $65,000 for Special Olympics

In an April campaign hosted by all 119 locations of Fry’s Food Stores in Arizona, residents were encouraged to round up their totals to the nearest dollar in support of Special Olympics Arizona.
