JW Marriott Desert Ridge installs LED lights throughout resort

JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa recently completed an extensive project designed to reduce the resort’s energy use and environmental impact while improving aesthetics, by converting as much of its lighting as possible to energy-efficient LEDs. The resort partnered with two companies to complete the conversion: Arizona Public Service provided a rebate of $364,277 to help offset the over $1 million cost of the project, and Groom Energy Solutions handled the lighting design and installation, according to a press release.

Desert Ridge announces upcoming holiday events, activities

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Desert Ridge Marketplace makes the most of this holiday season by announcing all the glorious and festive activity starting in November. Filled with the sights and sounds of the season, the AMC Theatres Plaza and the District Stage is the shopping center’s place to find cheerful activities for everyone. The first snowfall kicks-off the holiday season at 6 p.m. on Nov. 23, transforming the area into a desert-style winter wonderland. “Malloween” at Desert Ridge gives families safe, fun atmosphere

Calling all pint-sized witches, ghosts and pumpkins – Desert Ridge Marketplace is hosting a “Malloween” event to give Valley families a fun and safe alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating. The event provides a not-so-spooky, little-bit-kooky Halloween experience, especially for younger trick-or-treaters. With store-to-store trick-or-treating, Halloween music and plenty of prizes, along with a variety of games and activities coordinated by family entertainment company, Funergy, “Malloween” is expected to draw up to 5,000 costumed children to the District.

Car-wash to host ‘Hallow-Clean’ haunted fund raiser

Phoenix drive-thru car wash is adding the fear factor this Halloween season, offering service with a scream at the first Jacksons Hallow-Clean Haunted Ca-rwash. The haunted wash will benefit Banner Children’s Hospital. The express wash service will feature spooky decorations, costumes, music, lighting and glow in the dark suds, according to a press release. The express wash tunnel will be packed with frightful surprises for all ages.
