‘Lego City’ back by popular demand at Desert Ridge Marketplace

Desert Ridge Marketplace, together with Cactus Brick, Arizona’s leading Lego user group, will give Valley residents the chance to see exactly how creativity, combined with basic building principles, can help a miniature Lego City rise out of the rubble of hundreds of thousands of Lego bricks. Lego hobbyists who created the display will be on hand to show off their creations and inspire others to harness their imaginations and build their own tiled creations. The free family event is to be weekends only Oct. 23 through Nov. 29. Hours are to be 6-9 p.m. on Fridays; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Sandbar to donate pink margarita funds through October

There is not much that is better than pink margaritas, Beer Brat Fajitas and Beer Brat Tacos; especially if it helps fight cancer in support of breast cancer awareness month. Sandbar is inviting its guests to, “Scare up some spicy fun” this October with food and drink specials all month long in a celebration called “TacOber Fest.” Served now through Oct. 31, food specials will include $10 Beer Brat Tacos, $12 Beer Brat Fajitas and $8 Beer Cheese and Pretzel made with Odell’s 90 Shilling Ale, according to a press release.
