Grand Canyon DAR members promote, celebrate patriotism

Scottsdale-chartered Grand Canyon Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution has engaged in civic activities throughout the state to bring focus to the society’s “Celebrate America!” initiative. Chapter DAR Service for Veterans Committee Co-chairman Tracy Justinak attended Sky Harbor Airport welcome-home festivities for Arizona World War II veterans returning from three-day visits to Washington, D.C. as guests of Honor Flight Arizona. Her most recent involvement was at the May 28 event. Honor Flight Arizona works year-round to plan and conduct eight to 10 trips to national memorials at no cost to veterans.
