Xavier Dads’ Club to host annual golf tournament on March 10

The Xavier College Preparatory Dads’ Club will host its Annual Heather Farr Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, March 10 at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club in Phoenix. Chaired by Xavier parents Wally Hale and Doug Folger, the event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with registration, pre-tournament activities, and lunch. There will be a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m., and an awards cocktail reception following the tournament, according to a press release.

These confines add an intimacy to the display, but it also limits the number of tickets that can be sold, according to a press release.

The Joe Niekro Foundation Knuckle Ball Gala returns

The Joe Niekro Foundation will be hosting its second Knuckle Ball Gala on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Arizona Biltmore. The event will support brain aneurysm, AVM and hemorrhagic stroke research and awareness with proceeds benefiting neurological research at Barrow Neurological Institute, according to a press release. The Joe Niekro Foundation was founded by Natalie Niekro, daughter of 22-year MLB veteran Joe Niekro, in 2008 after her father’s sudden passing from a ruptured brain aneurysm.

Barrow Women’s Board raises more than $4M through 2016 Grand Ball

The Women’s Board of Barrow Neurological Foundation announced more than $4 million was raised through the 2016 Barrow Grand Ball, hosted Jan. 16 at the Arizona Biltmore. The announcement was made with a toast to the women who drove the success of the fundraiser—board chair Angela Melczer and ball co-chairs Sandy Hecomovich and Amy Thurston—amidst the company of several hundred guests and generous benefactors of the ball. Founded in 1965 for the purpose of raising money to further research at Barrow Neurological Institute, the Women’s Board has evolved into one of the most successful fundraising entities in the Valley and the largest cumulative donor group to Barrow. Over the last half-century, the group has donated more than $54 million to support medical research as well as clinical care and medical education at the institute, according to a press release.

56th annual Phoenix Heart Ball showcases commitment to heart health

Jaburg Wilk, Apple partner to present tech workshop

Jaburg Wilk attorneys Neal Bookspan and Laura Rogal will be presenting a free seminar on the importance of implementing a ‘Bring Your Own Device’ Program in the workplace at the Apple store at the Biltmore Fashion Square.
