Anne Frank’s childhood friend shares story of life, hope at Paradise Valley gathering

Rather than celebrating with friends and family, Eva received a brutal beating for her 15th birthday, before she was herded onto a cattle cart headed to Auschwitz. It was May 11, 1944, that Eva Schloss, a childhood friend and later the step-sister of Anne Frank, recalls being taken into custody guilty of being Jewish. Ms. Schloss kicked off a tour promoting her book, “Eva’s Story,” Monday, Feb. 13 at Camelback Golf Club, 7847 N. Mockingbird Lane in the Town of Paradise Valley.

Anne Frank’s step sister to speak in Paradise Valley

On Feb. 13 Eva Schloss will speak in Paradise Valley to share her experience as the childhood friend and step sister of Anne Frank. The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. at The Camelback Golf Club, 7847 N. Mockingbird Lane, in Paradise Valley. It will be suitable for people of all ages including teenagers, according to a press release. This is a special opportunity to hear a first-hand account from someone whose life intersected with one of the most compelling figures in our history, the release stated.
