Phoenix Mercury raises $15,000 for American Cancer Society

The Phoenix Mercury’s annual “Rock the Pink” festivities, brought to you by IASIS Healthcare, raised more than $15,000 for the American Cancer Society during the Mercury-Minnesota Lynx game at US Airways Center. The money was raised through the team’s pre-game luminaria dedication drive, a silent auction of autographed pink Mercury items and a postgame live auction featuring players’ jerseys from the game. “Rock the Pink Night to me as a breast cancer survivor means life, this partnership with the Mercury enables us to save additional lives from breast cancer, and all cancer,” stated Colleen McKinstry, community manager for American Cancer Society, in a press release. “We love the Mercury and thank them for acknowledging our survivors as well as celebrating us and everything they do to help finish the fight against cancer.”
