Shortly after 11 a.m., on May 9, the Paradise Valley Police Department was notified of a residential burglary in the 9800 block of N. 50th Street where a housekeeper reportedly discovered forced entry to the residence though a rear window and stolen items from the master bedroom.

The alleged burglary happened sometime since May 5. The PVPD’s Criminal Investigations Unit will follow up on this case no. 2016-13638.

Meanwhile, residents are encouraged to lock doors to prevent a burglar from entering homes. Use alarms to possibly reduce the amount of time burglars are inside houses, the amount of property they have time to steal as it causes them to rush, make mistakes and leave additional evidence, which increases chances of catching the suspect and recovering stolen property.

If you have information about this burglary, call 480-948-7410. If you see anything suspicious in your neighborhood, the emergency number is 911 and the PVPD crime stopper is -480-948-7410 for other calls.
