Residential construction site loses flooring to burglary

A victim reported hardwood floors stolen from a residential construction site after finding a door left open with a key inside of it the week prior, according to Paradise Valley police officials.

At 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, the Paradise Valley Police Department was notified via telephonic report of a theft of hardwood flooring from inside a home under construction in the 4700 block of east Charles Drive.

The home is nearly completed with walls, doors, windows, and a roof, and when secured can only be accessed by lock and key, police officials said.

The reporting party advised he discovered the theft on Oct. 10. He believes the suspect(s) made entry through the interior garage door into the residence.

On the day the reporting party discovered the theft, he located that door ajar with the key in it, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary are urged to call the Paradise Valley Police Department at 480-948-7410.
