The physical evidence collected from the burglary scene was submitted to the Scottsdale Police Crime Lab immediately after the crime occurred allegedly linking Schireman to the burglary, an April 18 press release states.

Police officials contend Schireman has long been a person of interest in several crimes in Paradise Valley as well as Phoenix.

“Schireman, who has a history of providing false names to police and is considered an escape risk, was stopped by Phoenix Police while driving the burglary victim’s stolen motorcycle, he was also stopped and detained by Paradise Valley Police in August 2015 after burglarizing several vehicles,” Paradise Valley Sgt. Michael Horn said in the release.

“Schireman escaped from police in both of those encounters and was subsequently arrested for yet another residential burglary in Phoenix while still wearing handcuffs.”

Schireman, who was released with a $1,000 bond in August 2015 subsequently failed to appear for sentencing in Maricopa County Superior Court, and is currently a fugitive of justice, police officials say.
