One adult male pronounced dead after drowning call

Paradise Valley police officers responded to a drowning call that resulted in the death of one adult male, according to officials.

At 4:33 p.m. on Aug. 14, the Paradise Valley Police Department received a call of a drowning in the 6700 block of E. Rovey Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers responded to the rear patio and Scottsdale and Phoenix Fire Departments were already on the scene performing CPR on an approximately 30-year-old male.

The male was transported to HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Next of kin was at the hospital with the patient.
