Terri Scutt: The joy of Valley Metro vanpool

There was once a time, like so many, I sat frustrated in traffic for a good two hours of my day.

I thought that’s just what I had to do living 30 miles away from work. That was until I learned about Valley Metro’s vanpool program. When I signed up I had no idea the change it would bring to my life.

The cost savings are huge for me. I was able to get rid of a vehicle and now I have don’t have car insurance or upkeep on a second car. The ride is enjoyable and allows for time to catch up on sleep and work.

The friendships were an unexpected surprise, too. I’ve met a whole new circle of friends. I hope more people take advantage of this vanpool program to get more cars off the road, but also for their own well-being.
