Xavier College Preparatory students are celebrating their 2016 athletic accomplishments.

Four students were selected to the 2016 All-State Lacrosse Team.

Junior Caitlin Blomo was named the sport’s Attack Player of the Year; Ms. Blomo and senior Kate Howard were selected to the All-State First Team; and juniors Kayla Swanson and Katie Hobaica were named to the All-State Second Team.

The Xavier team captured third place accolades in the state lacrosse tournament, and the school’s program was honored by the Arizona Girls Lacrosse Association with the “Honor The Game” Award for the second consecutive year.

Xavier seniors Megan Donahey, Caitlyn Dickman, and Becky Ducar were all honored with Division I softball accolades.

Ms. Donahey, a center fielder, was named to the Arizona Republic/azcentral.com All-Division I Team; Ms. Dickman, a pitcher and first baseman, was named Division I Honorable Mention.

Both students and shortstop Ms. Ducar were selected to play in the annual Division I All-Star Game earlier this month.
