Paradise Valley crews working to clean up storm debris

The Sept. 14 storm affected all parts of the Town of Paradise Valley but the heaviest rains and flooding hit the west side.

Public Works crews will continue clearing streets of debris starting with major arterials followed by minor arterials, collector streets, and residential streets, according to a press release.

During the storm, Lincoln Drive had to be closed between 32nd St. and 38th St. due to flooding, the release stated.

Public Works crews were able to remove mud and debris from storm drains within a couple hours and the street was reopened. Downed trees were cleared from the roadway on Tatum Blvd. and Doubletree Ranch Rd. Rock and mud were also removed from the Sunset Hills area of Town.

The priority Sept. 15, is to finish removing debris from Lincoln Drive between 32nd St. and 38th St., Doubletree Ranch Rd., affected areas of Foothills Drive, Morning Glory Rd., 58th St., 59th St., Caballo Dr., Valley Vista Ln., and Arroyo Verde. The street sign will be reinstalled at Tatum Blvd and Desert Fairways, the release stated.
