Paradise Valley artist’s work to be featured during Miami Art Week

Paradise Valley artist Fred Tieken was selected to exhibit his artwork with two notable galleries at this year’s famed Miami Art Week, taking place Nov. 30 through Dec. 4.

According to a press release, Mr. Tieken will be showcasing more than 15 of his latest mixed media artworks in two prestigious art fairs: Spectrum Miami with Santa Monica, Calif.-based bG Gallery and at X Contemporary Art Fair at the Nobu Hotel Miami Beach with Phoenix-based {9] The Gallery.

Mr. Tieken’s artwork is expressionistic and painterly in style, highlighting personal subjects and experiences through irony and wit, the release stated. The artist’s love of color, bold lines and mixed media are seamlessly blended with his wry social commentary and smart symbolism, according to a release.

Mr. Tieken’s art allows the viewer a brief glimpse into his colorful and dazzling world where one senses a pure excitement and passion for life, art, and music, the release stated..

“Painting is like baring my soul to the world,” Mr. Tieken, whose level of emotional commitment is beautifully and vividly demonstrated in his work, said in a release.

Working from his two studios in Venice Beach, Calif. and Paradise Valley, Mr. Tieken’s work has been featured in more than 60 juried exhibitions and one-person shows from coast-to-coast. He also has shown in major art fairs including Aqua Art Miami, LA Art Show and Palm Springs Fine Art Fair, according to a release.
