The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors recently appointed Chris Wible as constable for the Desert Ridge Precinct until the end of the year.

Voters will select a constable in the November election for a term beginning in January. The 26 constables of Maricopa County serve Orders of Protection, summons, subpoenas and Writs of the Court such as evictions and property seizures, according to a press release.

Supervisor Andy Kunasek, District 3, made the nomination and the vote was unanimous to appoint Mr. Wible, according to the release that says he is currently commander of the Special Forces Posse for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Wible has completed 72-hours of firearms training and has three years of patrol experience as a member of the posse.

“I have known Chris Wible for many years,” said Mr. Kunasek in a prepared statement. “He has a great deal of law enforcement training that will be invaluable to the community, and I’m sure he will serve the area with dignity.”
