After League Legislative Associate Dale Wiebusch presented the award, Mayor Michael Collins thanked Dr. Meyer for his willingness to work with the Town of Paradise Valley on issues of importance to town residents and said, “he is always just a phone call away.”

Mayor Collins gave Dr. Meyer a framed proclamation that recognized his support of local decision-making.

According to Mayor Collins, Dr. Meyer has worked to protect the town’s tax revenues and tax base from being swept by the state and also worked to ensure that Paradise Valley’s fire services could be maintained without interference.  Dr. Meyer is committed to the town’s ability to restrict signage and says it’s important “to keep the town beautiful.”

Dr. Meyer represents Legislative District 28 and is the only Town of Paradise Valley resident serving in the Legislature.
