License plate reader hit leads to arrest in Paradise Valley

The Paradise Valley Police Department Thursday, June 9 received a license plate reader hit notification from camera equipment in the vicinity of the Palo Christi and Lincoln Drive intersection.

The LPR notification was in reference to a 2000 Silver Chevrolet Impala reported stolen out by the Scottsdale Police Department, a press release states.

Officers located the vehicle in the 6400 block of Lincoln Drive and conducted a high-risk traffic stop. The driver verbally identified herself as Brenda Bierbrich who was arrested and booked into the 4th Ave Jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of paraphernalia, the press release states.

A further investigation revealed that the arrestee used her sister’s name when in fact Automated Finger Print Identification System showed her to be Marlene Biebrich. Biebrich will also be charged with forgery, identity theft and false reporting to the police and driving on a suspended license.
