A television from the backyard of a Paradise Valley home was reportedly stolen during the night of June 1, according to police officials.

At 10:28 p.m. on June 1, the Paradise Valley Police Department was dispatched to a burglary-in-progress call for service, located at a residence in the 7500 block of E. Jackrabbit Road.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the homeowner, who advised her alarm activated and she noticed her television was missing from the back patio. The homeowner then looked out her front window and observed an unknown subject walking with a large object in-hand believed to be her television, according to police.

When officers checked the residence, they found forced entry to the garage service door located on the west side of the house. A check of the neighborhood was conducted, but no suspect was located. When officers viewed the home security video, two subjects were seen in the backyard, the police stated.

The Paradise Valley Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit will be following up on this crime. Locking doors can prevent a burglar from gaining entry to a house. Using alarms usually reduces the amount of time burglars are inside the house and the amount of property they have time to steal.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary is urged to call the Paradise Valley Police Department at 480-948-7410.
