Desert design floral show slated for Ikebana luncheon

Ikebana of Arizona’s fall luncheon features a floral stage show by Japanese floral master designer Kika Shibata.

Mrs. Shibata, celebrated for her large contemporary floral expressions, will create 10 exquisite floral arrangements with designer flowers and desert plant materials from the garden of Paradise Valley residents Dr. Lawrence and Carol Brecker.

Garden and floral design enthusiasts are encouraged to attend the program at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 30 with luncheon following at Chaparral Suites in Scottsdale.

Tickets are $40. Auction and raffle items include floral arrangements and Japanese art, books, and vases.
