Ascension Lutheran Church kicks off the fall season with its 17th annual Oktoberfest 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.

Food will be served 5-8 p.m.

Oktoberfest includes a German-fare dinner offering German Beer Brats, pork, sauerkraut, Bavarian Potato Salad, cole slaw, hot dogs for the kids, German Apple Streudel, and German Chocolate Brownies.

Attendees are invited to browse items and baskets presented for silent auction, and take part in the live auction of two week-long stays at oceanfront condos in Maui or Rocky Point.

A Kid’s Zone offers fun activities for the little ones, including cotton candy, face painting, and an inflatable bouncy castle.

“We are so excited that this annual tradition has been such a favorite for Paradise Valley residents,” says Ascension’s Pastor Ryan Hersch. “It is a wonderful opportunity for us to meet our neighbors and to provide a place they can gather to have fun and meet each other as well.”

A donation of $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under includes entry, food, and beverages.

Ascension Lutheran Church is located at 7100 N. Mockingbird Lane, Paradise Valley. Call 480-948-6050, or visit ascensionparadisevalley.org.
