Carolyn Wonderland

  • 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1
  • Tickets are to be between $27.50-$32.50
  • With the soulful vocals of Janis Joplin and the guitar-slinging skills of Stevie Ray, Carolyn Wonderland reaches into the depths of the Texas blues with the wit of a poet. Her accolades include Best Female Vocalist Award at the 2011 and 2012 Austin Music Awards among many others.

Christmas with the Nelsons

  • 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2
  • Tickets are to be between $52.50-$62.50
  • A multimedia live concert experience starring the third generation of Nelson family hit makers, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson.

The Bad Plus Joshua Redman

  • 7 and 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3
  • Tickets are to be between $27.50-$42.50
  • “The Bad Plus Joshua Redman” is a 2015 album collaboration between the post-modern jazz giants pianist Ethan Iverson, bassist Reid Anderson, drummer Dave King and one of the most wildly talented and expressive tenor saxophonists in contemporary jazz, Joshua Redman.

Liz Story and Lisa Downing

  • 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4

  • Grammy-nominated Liz Story and award-winning international contemporary composer and concert pianist Lisa Downing perform compelling original music that has been described as “piano impressionism.”

Dmitri Matheny’s The SnowCat

  • 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5

  • Each year, Matheny and friends bring The SnowCat to life in a popular series of performances for families, combining singing, storytelling, live music and visual art.

Sibelius 150th Jubilee Concert

  • Join pianist Marja Kaisla and cellist Katri Ervamaa for a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.

Experience Scandinavia

  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 5 and Dec. 6
  • Activities and performances included with paid museum admission

Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano “Fiesta Navidad”

Live from Laurel Canyon

  • 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9

Steve Gadd Band

  • 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 12

The English Beat

Irish Christmas in America

Marty Ashby’s 6th Annual Holiday Jazz Celebration Featuring Ann Hampton Calloway

  • For the sixth year in a row, MCG Jazz executive producer Marty Ashby will present a swingin’ evening of holiday-flavored jazz.

Hear Them Ring

  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, and Sunday, Dec. 20
  • Activities and performances are to be included with paid museum admission
  • Chimes and jingles will fill the halls at MIM to celebrate instruments that ring! See performances featuring handbells, vibraphones and more. Try your hand at gamelan and learn how these instruments make their unique sounds. The weekend will also highlight a special menu at Café Allegro, gifts for purchase at the Museum Store, face painting and much more.

The Phoenix Boys Choir Presents Winter Wonderland

  • 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21
  • Tickets are to be between $27.50-$32.50
  • Get into the spirit as the angelic voices of the acclaimed Phoenix Boys Choir perform a delightful array of holiday favorites.
