Musical Instrument Museum to honor educators in July

During the entire month of July, pre-school through 12th-grade educators, administrators, principals, and registered student teachers as well as home school educators will receive free admission at the Musical Instrument Museum.

Teachers will also receive a 10 percent discount on their entire purchase (alcoholic beverages excluded) at Café Allegro as well as the Museum Store on most non-sale merchandise, according to a press release. Educators are invited to learn more about MIM’s educational programs during our Preview Days on two Saturdays, July 18 and 25, at 10 a.m. and Sundays, July 19 and 26, at 12 p.m.

Educators will need to show a school ID, a fingerprint clearance card, or an affidavit of intent in order to receive the discounts, according to the release.

Preview Days are the perfect time to learn about MIM’s school tours and grant opportunities, see curriculum demonstrations, and enjoy a performance by some of MIM’s Artists in Residence. There will also be drawings for prizes, including concert tickets, classroom supplies, and more.

The museum is at 4725 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix. For more information on the museum visit http://mim.org.
