Homeward Bound hosts 12th annual Old Bags Luncheon Nov. 10

Homeward Bound is hosting the 2016 Old Bags Luncheon in the tent at Arizona Biltmore on Thursday, Nov. 10, with all proceeds benefiting Homeward Bound to help families ready to make a change.

1026tpv-entertainment-old-bags-luncheonOne of the year’s best garden parties, the Old Bags Luncheon will start with a silent auction in the Grand Ballroom at 10 a.m. featuring an extensive selection of fabulous designer and vintage handbags, fashion vignettes by Neiman Marcus, beautiful jewelry by Galicia Fine Jewelers, and more, according to a press release.

Come dressed in your best haute and hat attire for a lovely afternoon benefiting Homeward Bound. A three-course lunch will be served on the Squaw Peak Terrace under the tent at noon.

“We’ve worked so hard to make a difference in the lives of Arizona families that are facing homelessness,” said Becky Jackson, Homeward Bound chief executive officer, in the release.

“Our Old Bags Luncheon is always a big hit with a fun garden party atmosphere. Since we walked away from federal funding, we’re hoping to raise more funds this year in order to continue supporting Arizona families in need.”

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Homeward Bound and their efforts to break the cycles of poverty in the community. Homeward Bound is expecting another sold-out afternoon at the Old Bags Luncheon and is excited to honor Cheryl Ruggiero, of Thunderbird Charities, with the Homeward Bound Luminary Award.

Tickets are $300 per person and can be purchased at HomewardBoundAZ.org. Sponsorships and tables are also available.
