On March 10, Florence Crittenton’s annual Teaming Up for Girls Luncheon returns to the Arizona Biltmore Resort to celebrate over 119 years of service to at-risk girls and young women throughout Arizona.

Florence Crittenton is to have kidnapping survivor and author Jaycee Lee Dugard as the keynote speaker for the 14th annual luncheon. Ms. Dugard was kidnapped at the age of 11 in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., on her way to school and rescued 18 years later, at the age of 29, in Concord, Calif.

“We may think of giving just once a year but programs like Florence Crittenton give all year round. I’m looking forward to the New Year and to being the keynote speaker at the annual Teaming Up For Girls Luncheon! New Year, so many possibilities,” stated Ms. Dugard in a press release.

This year’s HOPE — Head Start, Opportunity, Positive Future and Education — award recipient is Julie Johnston, center back for Team USA in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Ms. Johnston was raised in Mesa, and is the second youngest player on the U.S. team, at the age of 23, the release stated. Her accomplishments of winning a FIFA World Cup coupled with being named into the FIFA Women’s World Cup All-Star Squad speak volumes to her brave spirit, strong work ethic and her dedication.

Co-chairs for the 14th annual luncheon are Chris Anderson and Nina Munson, Agency Board of Directors, and the Platinum Sponsor is Billingtree, the on-demand payment processing company. The event will include a VIP meet-and-greet, a silent auction, raffle and HOPE Award presentation.

“Jaycee is a beacon of hope that has faced adversity and the epitome of the values we bestow upon our agency’s girls every day,” stated Dr. Kellie Warren, CEO of Florence Crittenton, in the release. “Her story will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the lives of every person in attendance, including the agency’s clients who will be at this annual event. We are grateful for the community’s continued support of our programs and the lives of young girls that are changed through them.”

Sponsorship tables begin at $2,750 and individual tickets are $275. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a reception and raffle. The program and luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m. The Arizona Biltmore is at 2400 E. Missouri Ave. in Phoenix.
