For the third year in a row, Fiesta Bowl has partnered with National Bank of Arizona as the title sponsor for the 46th Annual Fiesta Bowl Parade.

As one of the Valley’s longest-standing traditions, families and community groups are once again invited to take part in this year’s “National Bank of Arizona Fiesta Bowl Parade,” with opportunities to create parade floats, volunteer and witness all of the fun.

This year’s theme is “Countdown to Fiesta” and will have a New Year’s celebration theme to coincide with the upcoming big games, according to a press release.

“Building community is a primary focus for NB|AZ and this parade creates an incredible sense of pride,” National Bank of Arizona President and CEO Mark Young said in the release.

The 46th Annual National Bank of Arizona Fiesta Bowl Parade will kick off on Saturday, Dec. 31, in central Phoenix, and marks the beginning of football playoff season in the Valley.

First staged in 1972, Arizona’s signature parade, showcasing “The Spirit of the Southwest,” has grown each year to become the celebration it is today. Local groups bring out all the stops every year to create professional-grade floats, march in local high school and university bands, celebrate equestrian displays and join more than 100,000 fans to take in the experience.

“We are honored and excited to have the National Bank of Arizona as our title sponsor for the 46th annual Fiesta Bowl parade festivities,” Fiesta Bowl Executive Director Mike Nealy said in the release. “Our sponsors play a vital role in the growth and quality of the parade, and we could not be happier that we have a local company to help us support our volunteers and continue to build this wonderful event.”

The National Bank of Arizona Fiesta Bowl Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Local community groups, high schools, volunteers and other enthusiasts are encouraged to submit an application by Sept. 2, for the chance to be in on the action at this year’s “Countdown to Fiesta.”

Admission is free to the public with premium reserved seating available for $25. The event will be broadcast live on Channel 3 KTVK.
