The Desert Ridge Marketplace, dining and entertainment destination, invites the entire family to join some fun in the sun with their free weekly event for the whole family.

Every Tuesday, now through July 21, parents can keep the kids busy between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. during the Desert Ridge Summer Splash Tuesdays with fun prizes and exciting games and activities near the shopping center’s popular splash pad.

Children can make their summer memorable by meeting their favorite characters ranging from fairy princesses such as Frozen’s Princess Anna, The Little Mermaid and Spider Man, according to a press release.

During the 90-minute event, kids can enjoy music, dancing, games, prizes and play in the splash pad to keep cool. Kids will also receive a free downloadable photo with the featured weekly character, stated the release.

Parents are also encouraged to share their photos on social media with friends and family to spread the word and use the hash tag #DesertRidgeTuesdays, which will offer the chance to be randomly selected as a winner at the end of the summer series for a two-night stay at JW Marriott Desert Ridge, along with a 50-minute spa treatment to their Revive Spa, according to the press release.

Desert Ridge Marketplace is at 21001 N. Tatum Blvd. in Phoenix. The events are at the AMC Fountain on Tuesdays, until July 21 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:

  • July 7 – Frozen Fiesta with Princess Anna
  • July 14 – Princess & Pirate Party with The Little Mermaid
  • July 21 – Super Hero Sensation with Spider Man
