This upcoming Friday, May 29, is Coq Au Vin Day, an official, nationwide love affair with the classic French favorite.

No Valley chef knows French cooking quite like acclaimed James Beard Award-winning, Christopher’s and Crush Chef Christopher Gross. Mr. Gross, a devoted Francophile who also once cooked alongside the famed American TV food personality Julia Childs, who will be welcoming diners all this weekend serving the benchmark dish.

Easily one the most notable of all French chicken dishes, regarded for its hearty chicken flavor and richly reduced red wine sauce, Christopher’s Coq Au Vin will be as faithful a copy as you can get this side of the Atlantic. It will be available during dinner service this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Christopher’s and Crush Lounge, at Biltmore Fashion Park, 2502 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix.
