Art, athletics and music highlight a full slate of upcoming events at PCVV

Paradise Valley Community hosts a variety of entertaining, informative, and stimulating events throughout the year.

Unless otherwise noted, these upcoming events are free and open to the public, and take place at the college’s Union Hills campus, at 18401 N. 32nd St., just west of the SR 51 Union Hills exit.  Parking is free.

Lifelong Learning Seminar Series

  • Non-Verbal Communication in Relationships

Healing Racism Series

  • Chinese Master Ceramic Artists Exhibit
    • 6 – 9 p.m. | Friday, Sept. 18 | KSC 1000
    • A rare visit from China.  PVCC is pleased to host 30 Master Ceramic Artists from the China Ceramics Artists Association.  This may be the largest contingent of Chinese artists to ever visit the USA at one time, and makes it a not-to-be-missed, exclusive landmark cultural event.
  • Mental Health Awareness Day
    • 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. | Thursday, Sept. 24 | KSC 1000A
    • Includes an inspirational presentation by guest speakers from NAMI Valley of the Sun, “In Our Own Voice.” Speakers will discuss living with mental illness, recovery and success.  Anxiety/ Depression screenings and information will be provided, along with a free yoga session.

      • 9 – 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 –11:45 a.m. — “In Our Own Voice” presentations

Fine and Performing Arts

  • Center for Performing Arts 10th Anniversary Concert

    • Featuring performances and presentations by current and past students in the fine and performing arts, as well as a look back at 10 years of programing and performances at PVCC.
  • Fired Up! PVCC Hot RAKU Nights! | Ceramics Program Benefit
    • 6 – 8 p.m. | Saturday, Sept. 19 | Ceramics Building D | Tickets $25
    • A creative and unique date night or outing with friends! Ticket includes your selected piece of hand-thrown pottery to design, glaze, and take home; dramatic RAKU kiln firing of each piece; pottery throwing demonstration; appetizers, dessert, and music.
