Here is a list of upcoming scheduled events at the Musical Instrument Museum.

The Musical Instrument Museum is located at 4725 E. Mayo Boulevard in Phoenix.

MIMkids: Mini Music Makers (ages 0-5)

  • Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in November | Visit MIM.org for class times listed by age
  • Tickets: $12 per class or $40 for four
  • Description: Introduce your child to the wide and wonderful world of music through MIM’s early childhood music and movement courses. Explore music from around the globe with your children while singing, dancing and playing instruments. Designed for children and caregivers, each four-week session explores a new musical culture in engaging ways. Motor, pre-language and musical skills are developed simultaneously, while children actively participate in the music making. Concert: Arizona Musicfest Young Musicians Fall Concert

  • 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1
  • Tickets: $12.50
  • Description: Young musicians will astound audiences with their virtuosity as Arizona Musicfest showcases today’s leading classical talent.

Concert: The Danish String Quartet

  • 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2
  • Tickets: $37.50 – $47.50
  • Description: The Danish String Quartet has established a reputation for possessing an integrated sound, impeccable intonation and judicious balance.

Concert: Nicki Parrott, Rosanno Sportiello and Eddie Metz Trio with special guest Jacob Fisher

  • 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4
  • Tickets: $27.50 – $32.50
  • Description: Nicki Parrott’s playful bass paired with her raw vocal talent is breezy and alive, sometimes spiked with an intoxicating Latin flair.

Event: MIMFest

  • 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 8
  • Tickets: Adults $35, Teens (ages 13-19) $20, Children (ages 4-12) $15, Children (ages 3 & under) free
  • Description: MIMFest is a two-day outdoor music festival inspired by MIM’s commitment to celebrating musical traditions of the world. The family-friendly festival will bring together more than 20 extraordinary local, national, and international musical acts and entertainers as well as 12 food trucks serving global fare. It will be a weekend of incomparable entertainment, culture and cuisine.

Concert: Bruce Cockburn

  • 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9
  • Tickets: SOLD OUT
  • Description: Canadian guitarist and singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn has spent more than 40 years developing his passionate musical style.

Concert: Emily Kinney

  • 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10
  • Tickets: $27.50 – $32.50
  • Description: Emily Kinney is an actress and songwriter best known for her role as Beth Green on AMC’s television series, The Walking Dead. Her singing has been featured on the show and currently she is on tour for her first full-length album, “This Is War.”

Concert: Native American Heritage Month Concert featuring The R. Carlos Nakai Jazz Quartet and Sihasin (an I Am AZ Music concert)

  • 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11
  • Tickets: $32.50 – $37.50
  • Description: R. Carlos Nakai blends his Navajo-Ute heritage with classical, new age and world-beat jazz music to perform the Native American flute in a truly one-of-a-kind way.

Concert: MIM and the Phoenix Blues Society present Mike Eldred Trio (an I Am AZ Music concert)

  • 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12

Concert: Dave Simonett

  • Description: A special solo acoustic set by the lead singer and vocalist of bluegrass band Trampled by Turtles.

Concert: Richard Thompson Trio with Special Opening Performance by Hayes Carll

  • Description: “A perennial dark-horse contender for the title of greatest living rock guitarist.”-Rolling Stone Magazine

Concert: Chris Potter Trio

  • 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22

  • Description: A world-class soloist, accomplished composer and formidable bandleader, saxophonist Chris Potter has emerged as a leading light of his generation.

Concert: MIM Musical Interludes Series featuring ASU Guitar Ensemble

  • 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25
  • Tickets: Free with museum admission or $7 performance only
  • Description: The ASU Guitar Ensembles are led by Dr. Jonathan Crissman and feature both graduate and undergraduate students performing works representative of various eras and genres. Featuring original works and arranged classics, these dues, trios, quartets and large guitar orchestra are sure to entertain and inspire.

Concert: Both Sides Now: A celebration of Joni Mitchell featuring Khani Cole with Obadiah Parker and Krystal Waters (an I Am AZ Music concert)

  • 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25
  • Tickets: $29.50 – $35.50
