Xavier to kick off scholarship fashion show with mother, daughter event

On Friday, Feb. 5, Dillard’s Scottsdale Fashion Square will host Xavier College Preparatory seniors and their mothers at a kick-off event for this year’s Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show.

Beginning at 1 p.m., the Xavier seniors and moms will be treated to a buffet luncheon, make-up demonstrations, and a shopping experience. Ten percent of all sales from this event will be donated to Xavier’s scholarship fund, according to a press release.

A few weeks later, on Saturday, March 12, the Xavier Mothers’ Guild will partner with Dillard’s Scottsdale Fashion Square to present this year’s Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort.

The event will begin with a reception at 10:30 a.m., and a luncheon and fashion show will follow at noon.  Dillard’s models and Xavier/Brophy students from the class of 2016 will walk the runway to raise scholarship funds for the more than 40 percent of Xavier students who receive financial assistance, the release stated.

Xavier parents Tami Christifulli and Kristal McGrath will chair the event, and the theme will be “Celebrate Traditions.”
