Xavier students capture NCWIT top computing awards

Seven Xavier College Preparatory students – seniors Amaris Benavidez, Samantha Chung, Rachel Dedinsky, Cecilia Ramey, and Rebecca Red Horse; juniors Sara Skornik and Emma Yarborough – were honored by the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) as state winners of this year’s Aspirations in Computing Awards.  Amaris Benavidez and Samantha Chung were also recognized as national runners-up.

Xavier seniors Ana Brennan, Grace Harders, Aimee Hatfield, and junior Rita Barakat were named state runners-up.
