Last month, Xavier College Preparatory senior Natasha Menon served as governor at the model legislature sponsored by the YMCA’s Youth and Government Program at the State Capitol.

Ms. Menon has participated in the program for the past three years, serving first as a senator when she was a sophomore, then as both a senator and a committee chair when she was a junior, and ultimately as the state’s governor in December, according to a press release.

She plans to major in political science and economics in college, to attend law school, and to run for public office in the future.
