Xavier College Preparatory honored the memory of Sister Nancy Perlick, RSM by dedicating the press box on the school’s athletic field in her name.

A capacity crowd filled Petznick Field for the tribute to Sister Nancy, which was followed by the Xavier varsity softball team’s first home game of the season.

Sister Nancy dedicated more than 20 years to Xavier, serving most notably as the school’s associate director of activities and athletics and public address announcer, according to a press release.  Before joining the Xavier community in 1995, she spent 25 years as a nurse and hospital administrator.

Sister Nancy lost her battle with peritoneal cancer in December.
