Xavier College Preparatory‘s crew team won the Scholastic Rowing Association of America’s National Championship Regatta last weekend in Camden, N.J.

The victory was the first national crew championship in school history, according to a press release.  Xavier juniors Grace Ganz, Cami Hays, Ellie Martin, and Martha Ryan captured a gold medal by a margin of nearly nine seconds; freshwomen Dominique Jablonski, Tatiana Rosales, Paulina Oles, and Anna Heslin placed fourth in their race.

Earlier this spring, Xavier’s crew team won the state championship title at the Desert Sprints Regatta for the second consecutive year, according to the release.
