Xavier, Brophy rowing teams travel to national championship

Boats from Xavier College Preparatory and Brophy College Preparatory‘s rowing teams traveled to Cherry Hill, N.J. to compete in the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship.

Brophy College Prep Crew’s freshmen 4x of Kyle Harrison, Jack Spitza, Patrick Worley, Jett Curley and spare Tim Desmond just missed making the grand final, placing seventh in the nation.

Xavier College Prep Crew’s freshmen 4x of Dominique Jablonski, Tatiana Rosales, Paulina Oles, Anna Heslin and spare Ali Whittle made the grand final and finished fourth, less than two seconds behind the third place team.

Xavier Prep Crew’s Ellie Martin and Martha Ryan will compete June 12-14 in Sarasota, Fla., at the U.S. Rowing Youth National Championship.
