Tesseract School in Paradise Valley held their annual gallery night, where the community is invited to celebrate the visual and performing arts.  There was an outdoor art gallery which features two works from every student in the school.

The students choose the work themselves based on what they feel most proud and excited to share, according to a press release. There was a collaborative art center where students, parents, teachers and guests could paint a small triangular paper that will become a part of a large work of art hanging in our auditorium.

“Gallery night was a huge success with over 100 people attending,” stated parent Meghan Rudisill in the release. “Students and families enjoyed listening to the music provided by our talented middle schoolers, participating in a collaborative art project, watching student animations, participating in a scavenger hunt, paint splatter tattoos, and of course looking at the beautiful art.”

While enjoying each grade level’s work of art, parents and students were also treated to two stages were Tesseract’s middle school students performed. Some sang solos while others performed in small ensembles during gallery night. Songs performed by students included hits from Ed Sheeran, Michael Jackson, Shawn Mendes, and even Beyonce.

Those students were also accompanied  by other classmates playing instruments while performing recreations of top hits such as the Rolling Stones “Paint it Black” to the Star Wars “Imperial March” as the Tesseract community listened, picnicked and enjoyed a beautiful evening under the stars.

“I enjoy seeing the pride of the students who shared their talent and artwork with their families,” stated Emily Schneider, Tesseract’s art educator, in the release. “It is so wonderful to witness the love and support for the arts in our school community.”

Tesseract School is a not for profit private school located at 4800 E. Doubletree Ranch Road in Paradise Valley.
