Tesseract School students invited their father’s to a special afternoon of basketball and grilling food during the annual Dad’s Day BBQ.

The theme this year was “March Madness,” with the upcoming NCAA tournament right around the corner. The dads and students in the Early Childhood program enjoyed a backyard BBQ completed with one-on-one basketball games and steel drum music.

The Early Childhood program at Tesseract recognizes that fathers play a significant role in the development of their child and even an interaction that may seem insignificant to the dads, means a great deal to their children, according to a press release.  The closeness of a father-child relationship is a crucial determinant of the dad’s impact on a child’s development and adjustment.  Building this sensitivity enables a dad the ability to evaluate his child’s needs and respond to them appropriately.

Tesseract School is located 4800 E. Doubletree Ranch Road in Paradise Valley.
