At their regular Club meeting on Oct. 28, at the Stone Creek Golf Club, the Paradise Valley Rotary Club made another $1,000 donation to Junior Achievement of Arizona.

The Paradise Valley Rotary has been donating to Junior Achievement since 1988.

As she has done each year for many years, Dena Kidd, senior development and stewardship director, imparted to club members the latest news about Junior Achievement and its programs, and particularly their involvement in many schools in the Paradise Valley Unified School District, according to a press release.

In addition to Rotary’s gift to Junior Achievement, JA used the occasion to bestow its own award on Paradise Valley Rotarian Dennis Hustead, who received the “Apple Award” for more than 10 years’ service as a volunteer teacher of Junior Achievement.

Mr. Hustead continues to teach valuable life skills to at-risk youth.

Junior Achievement of Arizona has been educating K-12 students about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy since 1957, the release stated. With offices in Tempe and Tucson, this year the organization will engage nearly 100,000 students in Junior Achievement of Arizona programs.

As Senior Development and Stewardship Director, Ms. Kidd has been changing the lives of young people for more than 25 years.
