North Canyon High hosts Special Olympics basketball tournament

The North Canyon High School Business Advisory Board will host a Special Olympics Unified Basketball Tournament 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 in the Gymnasium at North Canyon High School.

The tournament will begin with an Opening Ceremony, followed by the tournament.

This community service project will bring students together from various campus clubs and sports teams. In total, six teams from three schools will participate in the tournament, according to a press release. The schools participating are North Canyon High School, Shadow Mountain High School and Raymond S. Kellis High School, from the Peoria Unified School District.

In the spring of 2014, North Canyon High School formed a Business and Education Partnership to provide opportunities to students.
