Local mattress retailer opens second store in N. Phoenix

Bed DRS, a locally owned and operated mattress store, has opened its second location at the northwest corner of Tatum and Greenway.

“The response to our first location told us that mattress customers really appreciated hometown ownership and the advanced technology we have included in each of our locations,” said Wes Harrington, CEO.

The stores feature pressure mapping to show each customer where their pressure points are in their favorite sleep position.  This makes it possible to select a mattress that has the qualities to give that person the best possible night’s rest.

“Knowing how you sleep and where you put stress on your body is important in selecting a mattress.  For example, if a person sleeps on their back, a firmer mattress will help keep the spine in alignment and reduce morning aches,” Mr. Harrington explained.

“This is the same pressure mapping technology that mattress companies use in designing their beds.”

Additionally, the stores have added Arizona’s first Pillow Bars.  Customers can create a down pillow to their exact preference – soft to firm.  The fill is hypoallergenic down with no feathers.  The process takes place in the store so the customer can watch and, then, take home their pillow.

“Today, many mattress stores are owned by the same parent company, which doesn’t give customers much of a choice,” Mr. Harrington said.

“Our goal is to provide hometown service in every price range.”

The new Bed DRS store is located at 15620 N. Tatum Blvd. No. 150, north of Greenway.
