The Biltmore-Paradise Valley office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage held a blood collection drive on Oct. 11 to benefit local area hospitals.
“We were motivated to act because someone in the country has a need for blood transfusion every three seconds,” said Koena Tapscott, branch manager, in a press release.
“The blood supply in area hospitals is in constant need of replenishment. Holding this blood collection drive is our way of helping to make a difference and giving back to the community that supports us.”
Blood was collected in a mobile unit at the Coldwell Banker Biltmore-Paradise Valley office’s parking lot. United Blood Services represents 95 percent of human blood collected and delivered, statewide, according to the company’s website.
