Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure, has appointed Paradise Valley resident Kathleen Norton as its new vice president of strategic partnerships.
Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure is a nonprofit organization dedicated to brain tumor research in the U.S. Ms. Norton brings a wealth of major and corporate gift development experience, according to a press release. During her career, she has raised millions of dollars for high-profile cultural, academic and scientific institutions in the state of Arizona.
ABC2’s Chief Executive Officer, Max Wallace said the appointment of a VP of Strategic Partnerships reflected the investment the venture philanthropy is making to ramp up major gifts and strategic partnerships to support its new personalized medicine project, according to a press release.
“We’re thrilled to have someone of Kathleen’s caliber spearheading our development efforts,” Mr. Wallace stated in the release. “We’re creating a first-of-its-kind molecular profiling project for brain cancer patients that requires significant support from committed investors. Kathleen is central to our strategy to deliver this.”
Ms. Norton has a M.Ed. from the State University of New York and a B.S. Ed. from Kent State University, according to the release.
