Abrazo Scottsdale Campus employees and volunteers donated more than 100 blankets and towels to UMOM New Day Centers, a shelter for homeless families in Phoenix.

According to a press release, many of the blankets were homemade including knitted and crocheted afghans and quilts. There was an assortment of colors and materials.

“We are so appreciative of our partnership with Abrazo Scottsdale Campus and the ongoing support that they provide for UMOM families in our community. These blankets will help keep our families warm and cozy during the cold winter months ahead,’’ Fara Walling, UMOM resource development manager, said in a release.

Earlier this year, Abrazo Scottsdale Campus employees and volunteers donated 3,000 bottles of water and 130 pairs of flip flops to UMOM, the release states.
