Mother’s Grace, a 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to supporting mothers and children, is hosting its annual champagne brunch in Paradise Valley on May 4. Supporting people who have endured overwhelming life tragedies, Mother’s Grace has helped thousands of women and children get back on their feet, established nearly a dozen nonprofits out of tragedy, and supported numerous community organizations through grants, according to a press release.
Olney Gallery at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is opening its exhibit, “The Abstract Art” of Sara Reinstein Becker and Lori Landis with a First Friday reception, 6-9 p.m. April 7. Olney Gallery at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt Street in Phoenix, will feature the exhibit through April 26. Both artists develop their work by building up many layers, the resulting abstract acrylic paintings provide the viewer with a feeling of serenity, according to a press release.
The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce announced the 11 women chosen as finalists for its prestigious Athena Awards as it continues its 28-year tradition of recognizing outstanding Valley businesswomen. The Athena Businesswoman of the Year Award recognizes a woman in the public and private sector, in addition to highlighting an upcoming leader in the Valley as an Athena Young Professional, according to a press release.
